Tom Burkman, Associate Vice President

Tom Burkman is recognized for his outstanding dedication, significant contributions to projects, and significant contributions to the company. Most recently, Tom has been leading L&B’s efforts to support Dar for several initiatives in Dubai. The client requires a level of dedication and performance that is above and beyond what we normally see. Tom and the rest of the team have been working diligently and long hours to provide the type of service that has built L&B’s reputation as the global leader in aviation planning. In addition to keeping this client happy, Tom has continued to support clients closer to home. This work is important in L&B’s efforts to continue to grow, and his efforts are greatly appreciated!

Adam Sambuco, Senior Managing Consultant

Adam Sambuco is recognized for his exceptional performance and for his ability to work well with others to achieve a goal. Recently on the SAN project, Adam’s ability to work effectively with others and foster collaboration has been invaluable to our team’s success. He consistently demonstrates high dependability and consistently works well with his colleagues. Adam is a high-value asset to the SAN project. Soar Recipients 3rd Quarter 2023

Jesse Baker, Senior Managing Consultant

Jesse Baker is recognized for his ability to foster collaboration and to streamline internal processes. Earlier this year, Jesse was the L&B project manager on two proposals. He rose to the challenge and led the proposal development teams to perform well despite time constraints. As a result, L&B was shortlisted and interviewed on both proposals. Afterward, Jesse shared his lessons-learned internally, which will serve to assist others with future proposal responses. Thank you, Jesse, for all that you do!

Krystyna Gallagher, Project Accountant

Krystyna Gallagher is recognized for her keen vigilance to help prevent a recent cyber incident that could have resulted in a client payment being sent to a bad actor. Her quick assessment of the situation and direct action proved to be the difference. Thank you to Krystyna for protecting our client and L&B from this security risk!

Erich Neumann, Senior Consultant

Joe Barden is recognized for his outstanding dedication Erich Neumann is recognized for his exceptional performance in meeting client-driven deadlines and for making significant contributions to projects. Earlier this year, Erich was key in assisting with analysis of population counts within noise contour bands of the SFO GBAS arrival procedures. Erich’s analysis was accurate and quick, allowing L&B to meet SFO’s tight deadline. Erich is a valued member of the L&B team and this is just one example of his many contributions.

Joe Barden, Executive Vice President

Joe Barden is recognized for his outstanding dedication and commitment to L&B staff. Those who work with Joe are consistently impressed with his exceptional leadership skills. Joe prioritizes the needs of his team members, takes the time to understand each person’s strengths and challenges, and provides personalized support and guidance to help them reach their full potential. His leadership style results in a positive and collaborative work environment that greatly benefits not only Joe’s team, but all of L&B. Thank you, Joe, for all that you do!

Carl Buddin, Consultant

Carl Buddin is recognized for his exceptional performance in meeting client-driven deadlines and for making significant contributions to projects. Most recently, Carl played a key role in a workshop with the FAA and other important stakeholders at Jacksonville Executive at Craig Airport (CRG) to present our analyses and project justification. And recently for CVG, Carl has been involved in multiple tasks with tight client schedules and has consistently delivered high quality analyses. Carl is a valued member of the L&B team and these two project examples are a very small sample of his many contributions.

Juan Pablo Duran Zacatecas, Senior Consultant

Juan Pablo Duran Zacatecas is recognized for his outstanding dedication to L&B and consistent ability to exceed expectations. Juan Pablo takes pride in his work and is always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that deliverables meet the highest standard. Lee Employee of the Year Award recognizes an employee’s achievements that embody the dedication to L&B and the aviation industry that Matt Lee has demonstrated for over 40 years.

Janet Bobowski
Controller

Janet Bobowski is recognized for her outstanding dedication and commitment to internal processes and interaction. In 2023, Janet has been instrumental in the Workday implementation while also managing additional audit work demands. Janet’s ability to collaborate in a team environment allows her to successfully work with multiple teams – identifying issues and providing solutions that can be corrected and adopted into our processes. Janet keeps an open line of communication within her team and often steps-up to lead and guide her team to success. Her ability to foster collaboration toward achieving a goal is very much appreciated and definitely embodies the spirit of the Matthew H. Lee Employee of the Year Award.
